President Biden spoke about the supreme court’s decision to strike down his student loan forgiveness plan, saying he feels “disappointed, discouraged and even a little bit angry.”

Biden snapped back at a reporter who asked why he gave millions of borrowers false hope.

“I didn’t give any false hope,” Biden said. “The question was whether or not, if I would do even more than requested. What I did, I thought, was appropriate and able to be done and would get done. I didn’t give borrowers false hope, but the Republicans snatched away the hope they were given, and it was real.”
