Storm Ciaran is continuing to lash the Channel Islands and the south of England, with wind speeds exceeding 100mph.

A red weather warning is in place for Jersey, and 77 flood warnings have so far been issued by the Environment Agency, mostly along the south coast.

The storm has led to the closure of hundreds of schools and left homes badly damaged, as well as causing major travel disruption.
