Sinead James, mother of two-year-old Lola James, and her partner Kyle Bevan have been sentenced over the toddler’s death. Bevan subjected Lola to a ferocious attack at her family home in Haverfordwest in July 2020, leaving her with catastrophic brain damage and 101 other injuries. She died four days later.

He then claimed the family’s pet dog had pushed her down the stairs. Bevan was convicted of her murder after a trial, while James was found guilty of causing or allowing the death of a child.
