The world's biggest and most powerful rocket has dropped out of contact following explosions during its second test flight.

SpaceX's Starlink mega rocket was aiming for an altitude of 150 miles, but the first blast occurred eight minutes into the mission at an altitude of 91 miles.

However, the Elon Musk-owned company took a positive view of the launch, saying it was an "incredibly successful day" despite the "rapid unscheduled disassembly".
