Space 'object' believed to be Russian rocket falling to Earth

The Australian Space Agency said in a statement the flashes of light were likely remnants of a Russian Soyuz-2 rocket re-entering the Earth’s atmosphere.

Any wreckage from the object will have landed in the sea near Tasmania, given its trajectory, the agency said.
