Smash Mouth's lead singer, Steve Harwell, has died, according to the band.

The rock band's longtime frontman -- who was one of the original founding members dating back to 1994 -- passed away Monday morning at his home in Boise, Idaho as a result of liver failure, according to his manager.

The band was known for hits such as "All Star," Walkin' on the Sun" and "Then the Morning Comes."
