Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer, members of the shadow cabinet, party staff and union representatives attend the labour party forum in Nottingham to discuss policy proposals ahead of October's party conference.

Starmer will deliver a short speech in the shadows of his party's largest ever by-election win in Selby and Ainsty. A vote in the North Yorkshire seat was triggered last month after Boris Johnson ally Nigel Adams resigned from the House of Commons when he failed to get added to the House of Lords.

PM Rishi Sunak avoided a clean sweep of by-election defeats after holding onto Uxbridge and South Ruislip but the Conservatives did also loose the Somerton and Frome by-election to the Liberal Democrats.
