Several killed as IDF raids hospital with UN warning of 'imminent' famine

Israel has released footage of what it says is Hamas gunfire coming from Gaza's al Shifa hospital shortly before Israeli soldiers attacked the building.

Tens of thousands of displaced Palestinians were sheltering in Gaza's largest hospital prior to the attack, according to Palestinian officials. Israel has told them to relocate to another area.

Meanwhile, the international body responsible for declaring famine has warned 1.1m people - half the population of Gaza - is now starving.

The Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) said famine was likely before May.
