Senior Houthi leader Mohammed al-Houthi has defended his group's attacks on shipping routes as the only way for them to come to the defence of their "Palestinian brothers".

He spoke to Sky’s Alex Crawford via video call - because the revolutionary group has not allowed British journalists to report from the north of Yemen, for what they describe as "safety reasons".
