First Minister of Scotland, Humza Yousaf MSP, has announced a council tax freeze at the Scottish National Party's conference, while soft-pedalling calls for independence.

It comes as the party's poll numbers have slumped this year, with Labour showing signs of a surge after winning the Rutherglen and Hamilton West by-election.
