A report on Wayne Couzens’ offending and missed opportunities to prosecute him before he kidnapped and murdered Sarah Everard in March 2021 has been published.

This is the first of two reports by Dame Elish Angiolini.

Last year Couzens was convicted of three charges of exposing himself to women while he was a serving police officer.

The timeline of the offences ranged from the weeks before he murdered Everard back to 2015. The Metropolitan Police and Kent Police have been accused of failing to properly investigate the offences at the time. Dame Elish Angiolini
