Senior Assistant General Secretary of the RMT union Eddie Dempsey has said "we're still fighting" as workers from 14 rail firms strike over pay, jobs and conditions.

Government consultations on ticket office closures, which has raised concerns over job cuts and accessibility, will be challenged using "any means", including legal action, Mr Dempsey said.
