Kay Burley asked policing minister Chris Philp about the Metropolitan Police's need for military support following the revolt over the Chris Kaba murder charge.

"In a few hours, we arranged for armed forces personnel to be deployed for a period of 48 hours running from Saturday until Sunday afternoon."

Mr Philp added their assistance was no longer needed partly because Met Police "returned to their firearm" duties.
