Pentagon press secretary Air Force Brig. Gen. Pat Ryder held a briefing on Thursday amid questions surrounding the circumstances of the Wednesday plane crash in Russia that reportedly killed Wagner chief Yevgeny Prigozhin and nine others aboard. Prigozhin led a brief armed rebellion against the Russian military before agreeing to halt his forces in June. Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed condolences Thursday for those who were listed on board the aircraft.
