Former Conservative MP and Former Attorney General Dominic Grieve has said "the issue was never did he have parties, that's one thing. The issue is did he mislead the House of Commons?" and that "it is absolutely and abundantly clear" that Mr Johnson did so.

Mr Grieve also called the former Prime Minister a "serial liar" and that it is not a surprise that "he lied through his back teeth".
