The government has missed a long-standing target to reduce the number of autistic people, or people with learning disabilities, detained in hospitals.

More than 2,000 people with autism or learning difficulties are currently in psychiatric facilities in England, many sectioned under the Mental Health Act.

Sky News has spoken to the father of a woman, detained hundreds of miles from her family, who's fighting for her freedom.
