A construction crane caught fire in Hell’s Kitchen, with the arm of it partially collapsing and striking another building on the west side of Manhattan.
At least 12 people, including three firefighters, and 9 civilians suffered non-life threatening injuries.
“As you see from the debris on the street, this could have been much worse,” New York City Mayor Eric Adams said. “We are extremely fortunate that this was not during the busy time of the day.”
LiveNOW's Lexie Petrovic spoke with FOX 5 New York's Antwan Lewis about the crane collapse. He said officials are still concerned about more debris falling from one of the damaged buildings.
