The operator of Britain's electricity system says it is to keep a scheme that aims to help prevent blackouts for the coming winter.

The network insists the country will have a lower risk of blackouts than last year, but still wants to persuade the energy supplier, Drax, to reverse the decision to retire two coal-fired generators at its North Yorkshire power plant.
