Liz Truss has given a speech at the Margaret Thatcher Freedom Lecture at the Heritage Foundation thinktank in Washington DC.

The former PM warned of a "global battle between free societies and dictatorships" and compared keeping EU laws post-Brexit to getting divorced and remaining in the same household.
