LIVE COVERAGE: The first nor'easter of 2024 impacted areas across the Northeast, bringing the region's first major winter storm of the year and a myriad of snow, wind and freezing rain.

Heavy snow fell across Pennsylvania and western Maryland on Saturday afternoon, with an accumulation around 1-2 inches per hour, making for slick roads and some communities' first significant snowfall in about a year.

Meanwhile New York City did not receive any snowfall which continues there streak of snowless winters.
