Lib Dems are 'suspicious' of motives behind voter ID change

Sir Ed Davey, the leader of the Liberal Democrats, has accused the Tories of "suspicious" behaviour over the implementation of voter ID for the local elections.

This election, on 4 May, will be the first time people are required to have photo identification in order to vote but the rules differ slightly depending on your age.

Sir Ed said "I think it suggests that the government's motives behind this change are nothing to do with voter fraud."
