Labour: 'We are doubling down not backing off'

Labour leader, Sir Keir Starmer, says in a major speech to an audience in Edinburgh that Labour are not backing off from spending £28bn on green investments in the first three years of a future government.

This would deliver "cheaper bills with clean electricity by 2030", he said.

Sir Keir said that people do not feel any better off after more than a decade of SNP and Conservative rule, but that Labour still needed to "earn every vote" and provide answers to the challenges they face to win power.
