Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer has spoken about the future job opportunities that could come with renewable energy manufacturing in the UK.

Sir Keir that he would "never let repeat happen" the closure of the coal mines in the 1980s, where "nobody had planned for the future".

There was now an opportunity to "seize the next generation of jobs" he told the GMB union conference.
