King's coronation: Royal coach sighted outside of Westminster Abbey

The Diamond Jubilee State Coach will take the King and Queen Consort on the first part of their journey on coronation day - from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Abbey.

It was first used in 2014 by Queen Elizabeth II at the state opening of parliament.

The notoriously uncomfortable 260-year-old Gold State Coach, used by Queen Elizabeth for her coronation, will then be used on the return journey.
