A ‘kingpin’ people smuggler who transported up to 10,000 migrants over the Channel to the UK has been sentenced in Belgium today.

The Kurdish man, known as Hewa Rahimpur, was arrested in the UK last year, as part of a European joint police operation.

Sky’s Adam Parsons has been in Kurdistan, where he discovered the widespread networks of smugglers who use many different identities to build their dangerous gangs.
