Junior doctors in England are set to begin a three-day strike, ahead of a further six-day walkout in the New Year.

The industrial action is already having an effect on services - with Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust deciding to close the accident and emergency unit at Cheltenham Hospital until Saturday morning.
