Jimmy Buffett, the legendary 'Margaritaville' musician, has died at the age of 76.

A statement posted to his official social media pages says Buffett "passed away peacefully on the night of September 1st surrounded by his family, friends, music and dogs."

Musicians, politicians and TV hosts are posting tributes to Buffett on social media, including Facebook and X, formerly known as Twitter.
