A temporary ceasefire between Israel and Hamas will begin at 7 a.m. Friday Israel time, according to Qatar, a country that helped broker the deal for a pause in fighting in exchange for the release of hostages held by Hamas.

During a news conference on Thursday, Qatar also said the first 13 hostages – all women and children – will be released at 4 p.m. Friday Israel time. Hostages will be released in groups, expected to be returned to Israel over the period of the four-day pause.

In the meantime, the Israel Defense Forces posted a video its X page, formerly Twitter, showing what it says is hard evidence of the tunnels used by Hamas under Shifa hospital, the largest medical facility in Gaza.
