Israel-Hamas war: Rafah border crossing 'likely to open' today allowing first foreigners to leave

Welcome back to our live coverage of the conflict - we could see the Rafah border crossing between Gaza and Egypt open today as the UK Foreign Office has said there are "credible reports" that it will do so.

The opening would reportedly allow some Palestinians to complete treatment in Egyptian hospitals.

Israel's Western allies have been pushing for the crossing to be opened to allow foreigners to leave Gaza as fighting intensifies across the region.
