Foreign Secretary James Cleverly has said the blast at a hospital in Gaza is an "appalling tragedy" on somewhere that is a "place of compassion and care".

Responding to an urgent question from the shadow foreign secretary, he said the UK is "working intensively with our allies to establish fact", adding: "We will not rush to judgement".

The minister went on to confirm he will travel to the Middle East later today.
