Israel claims to have killed "a number" of "infiltrators" crossing Lebanon border

Live from the town of Rmaysh in Southern Lebanon, on the border of Israel. In what could represent a significant development in the conflict, Israeli military officials say they have deployed troops to meet a suspected "infiltration" from Lebanon.

"A report was received regarding the infiltration of a number of suspects into Israeli territory from Lebanese territory," the military said in a statement.

"IDF soldiers are deployed in the area."

Israeli TV is reporting that two of the suspected "infiltrators" have been killed in the clash.
