The government has suffered what is thought to be a record 20 defeats in the House of Lords over its controversial Illegal Migration Bill.

Justin Welby, the Archbishop of Canterbury, spearheaded one change to the bill with a cross-party demand for the government to draw up a 10-year strategy to work with other countries to tackle the refugee crisis - something a fellow peer dismissed as a "non-policy".

Home Office minister Chris Philip has told Sky News the Prime Minister is committed to stopping migrants boats but there's "a lot more to do".
