Hurricane Idalia is expected to make landfall in Florida in less than 24 hours.

Governor Ron DeSantis provided the latest update for the state. He says that the Idalia will "be a major hurricane" as speeds continue to intensify quickly.

The NWS says Idalia is projected to make landfall as a Category 3 hurricane with storm surge being a major concern.
