Hurricane Hilary has now strengthened to a Category 4 hurricane as Southern California braces for its first storm of this magnitude in more than 80 years. The storm expected to deluge the area putting California at risk for extreme flooding.
Hilary formed Wednesday morning along Mexico’s western coast.
If it makes landfall, it would become only the fourth storm of at least tropical storm strength to hit the area.
