Scotland's First Minister Humza Yousaf has told Sky News he has lost contact with his in-laws who are trapped in Gaza, as Israel expanded its military operations into the region.

Mr Yousaf said he is "desperately worried" for their safety and reiterated his call for an "immediate ceasefire", saying "far too many innocent men, women and children are paying the price for a crime they did not commit".
