Actor Hugh Jackman has revealed he's had a new skin cancer scare, with his doctor investigating possible basal cell carcinoma.

While it's one of the most common types and is easy to treat if caught early, Jackman urged his fans to wear sunscreen as the summer approaches.

He pleaded with followers to "stay safe in the sun" in a video posted on Instagram, revealing how his problems started 25 years ago.
