Former president Donald Trump, who is facing court action in the US, has arrived in Scotland ahead of a visit to his golf resort at the nearby Menie Estate, saying: "It's great to be home."

The 76-year-old's private plane landed at Aberdeen airport shortly before 11.30am, with Trump officials not yet revealing how long he will stay as part of his first visit to the UK since 2019.
