Footballers past and present lead new charge against racism in football

Current and former football players have come together to sign a pledge committing themselves to publicly pushing for racial equality in football.

The statement was agreed during a conference at Nottingham Forest’s City Ground. It said the signees must “use their platforms and influence to demand an end to racism in their sport”.

Sky's sports correspondent Rob Harris was at the event, where he spoke to Forest winger Callum Hudson-Odoi about recurring racism in the game.
