Police performed a wellness check on Britney Spears after fans raised concern over a video of her dancing with kitchen knives, a source close to the singer has told NBC News.

The star posted a video to her Instagram page showing her dancing in her home.

But she insisted the knives were stage props and she was simply copying a Shakira video.
