European Union Heads of State gather in Paris for an international conference on assisting Gaza’s civilian population. French President Emmanuel Macron will open the summit.

Among attendees are Philippe Lazzarini, Commissioner General for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), Martin Griffiths, Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator at the United Nations, Mirjana Spoljaric Egger, President of the International Committee of the Red Cross, EU Commission and Council Presidents Ursula von der Leyen and Charles Michel, along with political leaders of various EU countries
