Former US president Donald Trump says he is "proudly the person responsible" for ending Roe v. Wade, as he outlined his policy on abortion rights.

The 2024 Republican presidential candidate released a four minute long video disclosing his views, including that each US state should be able to continue determining their own abortion laws.

Trump added that he is strongly in favour of exceptions in the cases of rape or incest, or where necessary to protect the life of the mother.
