Support for the former US president remained strong in the Sunshine State, also known as "Trump country", ahead of his Miami court appearance.

In Florida, pro-Trump firebrand and aspiring office-holder Kari Lake whipped up a crowd of conservatives "in the fight to save our country", calling Trump a "warrior".
