Rishi Sunak has appointed David Cameron as the new foreign secretary, in a shock comeback for the former prime minister.

Mr Cameron is not a serving MP so has been made a Lord to take on the government role.

He replaces James Cleverly, who takes over from Suella Braverman as home secretary.
