Funding to local councils for addiction treatment services has halved in a decade in real terms.

And drug deaths have doubled.

Support workers have told Sky News addicts are now being left to fend for themselves, unable to access crucial services that could help them overcome their deadly habit.

Ashish Joshi spoke to one man who has been waiting 10 years for help.
