Liz Truss is set to urge the government to cut taxes and insist her plan to grow the economy would eventually have worked.

Pensions minister, Laura Trott, was asked about news former prime minister Liz Truss will urge the government to cut taxes in a major speech later this morning.

Ms Trott said the "biggest tax cut" any family can be given would be to bring down inflation.
