Police arrested anti-Israel protesters on the campus of Columbia University in New York City.

Video from the Ivy League campus shows officers loading dozens of protesters onto police buses.

Columbia University President Minouche Shafik sent a message to the student body, saying that these "extraordinary steps" were necessary "because these are extraordinary circumstances."

Dozens of protesters had been camped out in tents on school grounds for days, calling on the university to divest itself from companies that have ties to Israel. The protests began the same day Shafik testified on Capitol Hill regarding antisemitism on Columbia's campus.

Columbia is only the latest prominent school to face congressional scrutiny since Oct. 7. The leaders of MIT, Harvard and the University of Pennsylvania also testified in December. The presidents of Harvard and UPenn have since resigned.
