CCTV captures attempted shoplifting being thwarted by locked door

A man in Western Australia has been scuppered from a shoplifting attempt - by a locked door.

After picking up a box of drinks cans, the suspect attempts to make a run for it through a nearby door, only to discover that it is closed.

Upon returning the unpaid for goods, the cashier presses a button to release the door.

The staff member present said that the man was "not aggressive" and so was allowed to exit after returning the goods.
