Twenty two U.S. citizens have been confirmed dead, and others still missing, in the wake of the attack on Israel by Hamas.

The war has entered day five with the death toll rising to 2,100.

John Kirby joined the White House Press Briefing on Wednesday to answer reporter questions about the war in Israel, the information known about hostages and the U.S. involvement in the turmoil.
