Andy Street, the Tory mayor of West Midlands, was asked about reports that Suella Braverman asked civil servants to organise a private speed awareness course to avoid a public one after she was caught speeding last year.

Mr Street told Sophy Ridge on Sunday that there have to be standards in public life adding the prime minister "has made it absolutely clear that for him, standards in public life is an absolutely critical issue".
