The row between Boris Johnson and Rishi Sunak continues, with the former Prime Minister accusing his successor of "talking rubbish".

It comes amid a row over Mr Johnson's list of peerages - the former PM has accused Mr Sunak of "secretly blocking" certain people from being promoted to the House of Lords.

However, Mr Sunak said this morning that Mr Johnson had asked him "to do something that I wasn't prepared to do", which was "to either overrule the Holac [House of Lords Appointments] committee or make promises to people".
